Japanese retail company MUJI will open the doors of its first Macau store to the public at 11 a.m. today, according to a statement provided by the store’s operator MUJI Hong Kong yesterday.
As of August this year, there were over 1,072 MUJI stores worldwide, including 493 domestic stores in Japan and 579 overseas, the statement noted.
The new store is located at The Venetian Macao, on the third level of Shoppes at Venetian. The statement said that the new retail store is the largest one in Macau and Hong Kong, which is measured at 1,950 square metres.
The new store, which has two floors, features the “most comprehensive merchandise assortment ranging from men’s, ladies’ and children’s wear, MUJI Labo, household goods, personal care items, food, to MUJI to GO on-the-go essentials, taking care of every aspect of daily life”, the statement said.
It’s merchandise mix, the statement pointed out, comprises 45 percent apparel goods, 40 percent household goods and 15 percent food items.
The new store also features a 700-square-foot home living thematic display area, where MUJI furniture and storage items are arranged to present living room, dining room, and bedroom scenes.
The store will be open from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., the statement noted.
