The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) said in a statement on Friday that cultural and creative entities joined the 18th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF) which featured the “Macao Creative Pavilion” set up by the bureau in conjunction with the local Cultural Development Fund.
The fair took place from December 28 until yesterday, the statement noted. The bureau has been arranging the participation of local industries in the fair since 2006.
The statement said that their participation was an effort to assist Macau’s cultural and creative industries in identifying business opportunities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area (GBA), and also aimed to promote the industries’ exchanges and development.
The “Macao Creative Pavilion” was located in the fair’s Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area Hall and featured well-known intellectual property (IP) and design elements from Macau’s cultural heritage ranging from fashion accessories to souvenirs, according to the statement.
The statement added that this aimed to showcase Macau’s creative and diversified cultural image among related industries and the mainland public, help its cultural and creative sectors enhance their brand awareness and expand their business in the GBA and other mainland markets.
