An excavator near Avenida do Aeroporto at the east Cotai construction waste disposal site caught fire yesterday, the Fire Services Bureau (CB) said in a statement.
According to the statement, workers had already put out the fire with an extinguisher when firefighters arrived at the scene. The firefighters subsequently removed the battery so that the vehicle could cool down.
No one was injured, and the incident was suspected to have been caused by a malfunction.
