The Health Bureau (SSM) said in a statement yesterday that due to the recent decrease in the number of blood donors, in order to ensure the stability of the supply in Macau, the blood donation centre will set up additional parking spots for mobile blood collection vehicles in the peninsula and Taipa, providing blood donation services to residents.

According to the statement, mobile blood collection vehicles will park in Rua de Seng Tou in Taipa, Rua Nova da Areia Preta, and Rua do Dr Pedro José Lobo tomorrow, on Friday and on Sunday respectively from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Macau’s blood donation centre is located on the second floor of Hotline Centre in Nape.

The statement noted that people infected with the novel coronavirus can donate blood seven days after their symptoms subside and the results of their nucleic acid test (NAT) or rapid antigen test (RAT) become negative.

Enquiries can be made on 2828 6699.
