Local View Power calls for proposals: IC

The Cultural Affairs Bureau’s (IC) Local View Power is calling for proposals for “Local View Power 2023” from those interested in film production, until March 8, the bureau said in a statement on Friday.

According to the statement, the call for proposals aims to promote the development of cinematography and encourage independent filmmakers in Macau to create more local films.

Applicants, the statement noted, must either be legally registered local associations or Macau ID card holders aged 18 or above. Applicants must also meet the programme regulations’ requirements.

The programme is divided into three categories: “Documentary”, “Short- Feature” and “Animation”. These categories are each further divided into three levels, namely “Advanced Level”, “Open Level” and “Freshmen Level”.

The statement said that its panel will choose a maximum of 14 pieces and provide a total of up to 1.32 million patacas for production, with the maximum amount being 280,000 patacas each.

Selected teams will be guided by professionals, who will provide one-on-one advice to each team, according to the statement.

For programme regulations and application forms, visit www.icm.gov.mo. The statement said that application forms and required documents can be submitted to the Cultural Affairs Bureau on Praça do Tap Seac in or before 5:45 p.m. on March 8.

Alternatively, the statement said scanned application documents to can be emailed to LVP@icm.gov.mo, with the email being limited 10MB in size, which must be sent on or before 11:59 p.m. on March 8. A download link can also be attached if necessary.
