A female non-resident worker (NRW) brandishing two knives in a shop on Rua de Foshan in Zape at around 4:15 p.m. on Friday attacked and slashed the fingers and shoulders of the shop’s three staff members and fled the scene, according to the statements by the Public Security Police (PSP)and Fire Services Bureau (CB) that day, which added that the woman in her thirties turned herself in at a PSP station in Zape at about 5 p.m. on Friday.
The statements noted that the local victims, comprising two women and a man, are aged between 38 and 44.
The statements said that PSP officers were dispatched to the scene and set up a cordon to investigate the incident, with paramedics from the Fire Services Bureau giving emergency treatment to the victims, who were then admitted to the private Kiang Wu Hospital.
According to the PSP statement, a preliminary investigation confirmed that the suspect, who was “emotionally agitated”, due to a relationship issue, took two knives with her to the shop and attacked one of the female victims after having a dispute with her on the premises, after which the other two victims, who tried to stop the suspect, were also injured in a melee.
