A shop doorway on Avenida Horta e Costa caught fire yesterday morning, Judiciary Police (PJ) spokesman Ho Chun Nam quoted the Fire Bureau (CB) as saying in a message to the media yesterday.
No one was injured in the incident and there was no damage to the shop, according to Ho.
Ho said that at around 11:05 a.m. yesterday, a staff member of a shop on Avenida Horta e Costa reported a fire outside the shop’s door.
Ho said firefighters rushed to the scene where they found charred cardboard on the ground next to the door, which had been extinguished before firefighters arrived, and they also found two cigarette ends in the pile of cardboard.
The Judiciary Police have classified the case as suspected arson.
