Tulip Garden installations created by renowned artist Xuan Qing are on display at The Parisian Macao in Cotai as spring is in full bloom.
A recent Parisian Macao statement noted that Tulip Garden at the property’s Rotunda features around 50 five-metre-tall tulips around the Fontaine des Mers, each hand-painted by Xuan, who is from the mainland, and brings “romance and the charm of springtime” to the property’s French architecture.
The Floating Magic Tulip Garden, which is a “matrix of golden tulips”, is also being showcased on Level 3 of Shoppes at Parisian. They are located along the 20-metre Avenue des Champs-Élysées, according to the statement, and are illuminated with spotlights from dusk to fill the Shoppes with “shining images of tulips”.
Born in Hangzhou, the statement said that Xuan is a graduate of the China Academy of Art and London’s Chelsea College of Art and Design. She was a cooperative artist for LVMH Group, a luxury goods company, and has had crossover collaborations with international brands such as LOEWE and Chrysler. She currently lives and works in Shanghai.
Meanwhile, a one-minute projection titled “Floral Projection Show at Place Vendôme” on Level 3 of Shoppes at Parisian was also created by emerging projection designer from JYULAM New Media Studio, Zhou Lin Wei, the statement said. The projection shows tulips transforming through hues to gold to create a “romantic and ethereal spectacle”.
A graduate from China Academy of Art’s Department of Open Media, the statement underlined that Zhou has worked with various well-known mainland brands in creative design projects such as Intime Department Store’s “Louvre” VR art gallery in Ningbo.
Moreover, Sands Resorts Macao’s signature restaurants are also offering floral-inspired delicacies and themed afternoon tea until May 31. This includes the “Spring Weekend Afternoon Tea Set” at Brasserie in the Parisian. It is available during weekends and public holidays until May 28, according to the statement.
