The first “Jack’s Club” event of the year is slated to take place on March 25 at The St. Regis Bar and will feature live performances from “a selection of Macau’s finest jazz musicians”, St. Regis Macao said in a statement earlier this week.
The statement noted that the recurring series celebrates the “decadence of jazz” and is reminiscent of New York City’s classic supper clubs.
Supper clubs, Wikipedia notes, are traditional dining establishments that also function as a social clubs.
The statement noted that the series, which is named in honour of The St. Regis founder, John “Jack” Jacob Astor IV, will combine an “enhanced jazz experience” with signature dishes such as Fine de Claire oyster Rockefeller, Boston lobster with risoni, Australian Wagyu beef striploin, vegetarian set options.
The event will start with live performances by The St. Regis Bar’s resident musician Aaron Lo and vocalist Rita Portela. There will also be a “special appearance” by Macau Vibe Band led by vocalist Jandira Silva to perform jazz blues.
Moreover, the statement said that Guest Mixologist Ronnaporn Kanivichaporn from Bangkok’s #FindTheLockerRoom will also be showcasing cocktails from March 26 to March 28.
Kanivichaporn is a former actor and model who got into bartending by participating in the Diageo World Class competition in 2014. He would win multiple awards in the next eight years such as in the Southeast Asian Bacardí Legacy competition and the global champion title from Bacardí Legacy as the first global winner from Asia. He also helms two award-winning bars in Bangkok.
The Jack’s Club signature set menu with cocktails made by Kanivichaporn are available at 888 patacas per person, while private room packages with performance live-feed and table packages also available at a minimum charge, the statement noted.
