The construction of the Black Box Theatre next to the Macau Cultural Centre (CCM) has been completed, the Public Works Bureau (DSOP) has announced.
The new facility’s opening date is yet to be announced by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC).
The Public Works Bureau announced in a statement on Friday that the construction of the Black Box Theatre, which got off the ground in November 2021, had been “smoothly” completed earlier that day.
According to the DSOP website, the Black Box Theatre cost 98.7 million patacas.
According to the website, the site where the Black Box Theatre is located covers about 1,450 square metres. The building has three storeys plus a basement area. It has a gross area of about 3,110 square metres.
The Black Box Theatre comprises two theatres, a backstage area, rehearsal rooms, dressing rooms, and office areas.
