SJM resorts said in a recent statement that it has hosted the first SpaChina Global Health Forum in Macau, at Grand Lisboa Palace (GLP) in Cotai, with the event having gathered industry professionals, international experts and delegates from all over the world exploring current wellness demands and future trends, as well as engaging in discussions.
The two-day event was organised by SpaChina Magazine, an industry platform focusing on the mainland’s health and wellness industry, and co-organised by SJM, the statement noted. It was the first wellness and spa conference to be held in Macau.
The forum was themed “Cultural Immersion” and explored topics including the latest industry developments and post-pandemic health subjects. It also featured a panel on the traditional Chinese wisdom “Zen and Tea”, as well as a roundtable of experts on the subject “From ancient to modernity, from East to West”.
SJM Managing Director Daisy Ho Chiu-fung was quoted by the statement as saying: “SJM leverages the strength of Macau as a welcoming platform to proactively support the advancement of the holistic wellness industry across the region”.
She added: “We perceive significant potentials in the growing demand of this tourism sector, through which we hope to drive international visitation, solidify Macau’s reputation as a World Centre of Tourism and Leisure, and fulfil our role in the nation’s development vision”.
The statement said that to complement the event, GLP and THE KARL LAGERFELD will offer special accommodation packages until December 31.
