2 MGM signature restaurants earn recognition in latest ‘100 Top Tables’

Gaming resort operator MGM said in a recent statement that two of its signature restaurants, Imperial Court at MGM MACAU and Five Foot Road at MGM COTAI, have been recognised for their culinary excellence in the South China Morning Post’s (SCMP) 100 Top Tables 2023.

Currently in its 11th edition, the guide names the best restaurants in Hong Kong and Macau, honouring the F&B industry of both special administrative regions (SARs), the statement noted.

According to the statement, Imperial Court, is again listed in the guide and serves classic Lingnan culinary fare “with a modern, reinvented twist”. Its Chef de Cuisine Homan Tsui values creativity in his practice, the statement noted, adding that this pushes him to “continue expanding the horizons of gastronomy enthusiasts”.

Meanwhile, the statement also said that Sichuanese restaurant Five Foot Road enables guests to embark on “a multi-sensory discovery journey with the most authentic delicacies that bring flavours beyond the public perception of fiery and hot”.

The statement added that Five Foot Road’s Chef de Cuisine Yang Dengquan has nearly 40 years of culinary experience and delivers authentic Sichuanese cooking with his combination of meticulous execution and high-quality ingredients, introducing the distinctive 24 flavours of Sichuan cuisine to members of the public.

The recognition, according to the statement, is testimony to the company’s unwavering endeavour to “strengthen Macau’s position as a UNESCO-designated ‘Creative City of Gastronomy’, meanwhile promoting Chinese culture through gastronomy and craftsmanship”.

MGM’s F&B Vice President Geoffrey Simmons was quoted in the statement as saying: “This recognition is testimony of our pursuit of excellence in culinary and service and most of all, our desire to share the great stories of Chinese culture to guests from near and far.

“We will continue to offer one-of-a-kind dining experiences with originality and innovation to elevate the Macau gastronomic landscape”, he added.
