Gambler cheated out of 130,350 yuan: police

The Judiciary Police (PJ) yesterday announced the arrest of a male suspect form Anhui province on Wednesday on suspicion of cheating a mainland businessman out of 130,350 yuan by persuading the victim to deposit money into a bank account so that he could exchange yuan into Hong Kong dollars at a discounted rate.

PJ spokeswoman Yeung Sau Chan announced the case during a special press conference at the PJ headquarters.

Yeung identified the suspect as a 30-year-old man surnamed He and the victim a 23-year-old surnamed Lu.
