Representatives from several local student associations yesterday called for increased public awareness on the recycling of food waste, at a local forum.

The forum on food waste recycling was hosted by the Macau General Association of Chinese Students (AECM) and held on the Macau Polytechnic Institute (IPM) campus. Speakers were representatives from student associations of the public Macau Polytechnic Institute, private Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) and private City University of Macau (CityU).

AECM Vice Chairman Choi Chi Seng suggested that the government promote food waste recycling in primary and secondary schools and inform the public on the locations of food waste collection sites.
