Healthcare professionals said yesterday that healthcare workers have good job prospects, while a nursing student said she was preparing to face vigorous competition in the sector.
Steven Cheong Chi Hong, who chairs the Macau New Chinese Youth Association (MNCYA), said on the sidelines of a one-day forum held at the private Kiang Wu Hospital that as Macau has a shortage of healthcare workers, job prospects in the sector are good.
Cheong, who is a doctor, made the remarks on the sidelines of the forum, which was co-organised by the MNCYA and the Macau Youth Health Promotion Association (MYHPA). The forum aimed to introduce health care career pathways to pupils in secondary schools.
