The Venetian Macao hosted a grand opening for teamLab SuperNature Macao last Friday, marking the official launch of the landmark project, according to a recent statement from the integrated resort operator.
The permanent interactive art experience is located at The Venetian Macao’s Cotai Expo. It spans over 5,000 square metres and features 8-metre-tall works by Tokyo-based international art collective teamLab, according to the statement.
Three new artwork spaces, meanwhile, opened yesterday, namely: Floating Flower Garden: Flowers and I are of the Same Root, the Garden and I are One; Massless Clouds Between Sculpture and Life; and EN TEA HOUSE, the statement said.
The statement noted that the Light Sculpture series also revealed its renewal, and “Autonomous Abstraction, Continuous Phenomena from the Universe to the Self” has replaced “Life is the Light that Resonates in the Dark”.
Sands China President Wilfred Wong Ying-wai was quoted by the statement as saying: “The launch of new artwork spaces will further enrich Sands China Ltd.’s portfolio of arts and entertainment offerings and demonstrates our strong support for the MGTO’s ‘tourism+’ cross-sector integration initiative”
teamLab founder Toshiyuki Inoko was quoted as saying: “It would be our great pleasure if people’s experience here creates the opportunity to explore a new perception of the continuity between ourselves and the world.”
The statement added that local residents can get a “Limited-time Macau Residents Offer “by presenting their Macau ID until June 30.
Priced at 200 patacas with 60 percent off the original price, the offer includes entry ticket to teamLab SuperNature Macao and the three newly launched artwork spaces, according to the statement.
