SJM Resorts said in a recent statement that it celebrated International Children’s Day with families from Caritas Macau’s Family and Child Youth Service Centre, “Fonte de Alegria e de Energia” (“Source of Happiness and Energy”), at Grand Lisboa Palace (GLP) Resort Macau in Cotai last Saturday.
International Children’s Day is commemorated annually on June 1.
Aiming to spread love, care and happiness among children, according to the statement, SJM team members designed a raft of interactive games for the participating kids in the hope of prompting communication and enhancing parent-child relationships through cooperation.
In addition to receiving souvenirs and gifts made by the Fuhong Society of Macau, participating families enjoyed afternoon tea prepared by the GLP Food and Beverage Department, the statement said.
The statement quoted one of the participating parents as saying she believed that the one-day event could help strengthen the relationship between parents and their children.
The statement said that SJM will continue to work closely with local organisations to foster a culture of mutual love and support within the community.
