The Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Centre (CPTTM) said in a statement on Wednesday that it is extending the deadline for “The 14th Macao Fashion Illustration Contest” to July 20, so as to give people more time to submit their entries.

Themed “Times in Macao·The Macanese Charms”, the contest features student and open categories, while an open category for people from Portuguese-speaking countries (PSCs) has also been added to promote Macau’s role as a platform for economic and trade cooperation between the nation and PSCs, the statement noted. It also aims to enable people from these countries to interact with fashion and art lovers, and for them to learn more about Macau.

The contest’s judging panel, the statement said, will comprise fashion designers and artists. Each category will have a champion, a first and a second runner-up. There is also an internet popularity award per category and six merit awards, according to the statement. Winners can get trophies and certificates and prizes.

The statement added that the “number of entries and their expressions are unrestricted”. Registration can be done online, while entries should be submitted in person or by mail (subject to the postmark’s date) to The House of Apparel Technology before 9 p.m. on July 20.
