The Cultural Development Fund’s two subsidised loan schemes – the “Cultural Showcase Branding” and “Cultural Industry Commercial Projects” – will accept applications from today to August 31, according to a statement by the fund yesterday.
According to the statement, the Cultural Showcase Branding scheme mainly supports stage performances such as opera, drama, dance, music, and applicants are required to stage at least three public performances outside Macau and must receive a certain percentage of the ticketing revenue.
The statement noted that the maximum number of subsidised loans is 10, which will have a duration of 18 months, while the maximum amount of funding is 80 percent of the project’s budget, or up to 800,000 patacas.
The Cultural Industry Commercial Project subsidised loan scheme, the statement noted, aims to support projects in the fields of creative design, cultural exhibitions and digital media, with an unlimited quota and a maximum funding period of 60 months.
The statement said that applicants can choose one of four options to receive the funding – an interest-free loan, bank loan subsidy, subsidised and interest-free loan, bank loan subsidy, or an interest-free loan.
