The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) said in a statement on Friday that it arranged for the participation of Macau’s cultural and creative entities in the three-day 11th Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo (MITE) at the “Macao Creative Pavilion”, which made its debut at the exhibition.

According to the statement, the bureau aimed to showcase various local IP brands, increase their popularity and promote “diversified cross-disciplinary cooperation in ‘Tourism + Culture & Creativity’.” The pavilion, which was jointly set up by the bureau and the Macau Government Tourism (MGTO), aimed to promote the sustainable development of Macau’s cultural and creative industries, the statement noted.

The statement pointed out that the pavilion, which covered around 180 square metres, featured 12 cultural and creative Macau brands.

The pavilion also hosted various Macau IP brand promotion sessions in the hopes of “leveraging domestic and international tourism industry chain platforms to give full play to the synergistic effects of ‘Tourism + Culture & Creativity’, support the local cultural and creative industries in exploring business opportunities, and foster cooperation and development with cities in the Greater Bay Area [GBA] and other regions”, according to the statement.

The 11th MITE wound up yesterday evening.
