Charity drive aims to ‘scan away hunger’

Local e-commerce platform Macau Central launched its ‘Scan away Hunger’ online charity drive yesterday to help World Vision end world hunger. The campaign was announced during a press conference at the Macau Square office of co-organiser Macau New Technologies Incubator Centre (Manetic).  

Participants can enjoy discounted meals from more than 40 local restaurants, which have sponsored the campaign, by purchasing the meals beforehand via credit card on Macau Central’s online platform. 

Participants will receive a QR code upon payment which will be scanned at the restaurant for the meal they have ordered.
