Macau’s casinos have reported a third straight month of revenue gains in October, boosted by gamblers during the week-long Golden Week holiday.
Gross gaming revenue rose 8.8 percent to 21.8 billion patacas, the Gaming Inspection and Co-ordination Bureau (DICJ) reported on Friday. That compares with the median forecast for 5.5 percent growth in a Bloomberg survey of seven analysts.
The growth builds momentum in reversing a 26-month slump as the world’s biggest casino hub strives to transform itself into a destination for families.
