Judiciary Police (PJ) spokesman Leng Kam Lon announced a case preliminarily classified as a dead body found, in which a 34-year-old local woman died after “falling from a height” on Friday.

According to the statement, the Judiciary Police were notified of the death by the Public Security Police (PSP) and the public Conde de São Januário Hospital Centre at around 12:15 p.m. on Friday, saying that a dead woman was found lying on the first-floor platform of a residential building on Estrada Almirante Magalhães Correia in Taipa.

According to the statement, a window opposite to the elevator on an upper floor had been opened, situated above the exact place where the victim was found, so the police believe that the victim jumped from that window.

Upon examination of the body, the injuries the victim sustained were consistent with a fall from a height, according to the statement, which noted that the exact cause of death has yet to be determined until a forensic examination is carried out.
