Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture Alexis Tam Chon Weng said yesterday that the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) was very concerned about the preservation of cultural heritage, including the height limit near the Guia Lighthouse.
Tam made the remarks when asked by reporters about an unfinished building near the Guia Lighthouse. The policy secretary spokes to the media on the sidelines of a medical seminar at the Venetian in Cotai.
The construction of the building was halted in 2008 because it exceeded the height limit set according to an executive order published in the Official Gazette (BO) in the same year.
