The Ministry of Culture and Tourism has issued a notice requiring management companies at tourism spots to promptly respond to changes in market demand, and optimize reservation measures to better serve visiting tourists.
Consumption is the key to boosting economic recovery. The full recovery of the tourism industry can both boost the overall economy and contribute to improving social expectations. The ministry’s call to help meet tourist demands addresses social concerns and helps to promote more refined services offered by relevant departments.
Difficulty in getting a ticket to scenic spots has much to do with inadequate service provided by the operating entities. For instance, management companies at some tourist spots keep the same schedule for the whole year and set the same limit on the number of visitors without taking into account peak and off-peak seasons. The one-size-fits-all strategy also shows laziness on the part of some officials.
Some practices are worth emulating though. When Zibo city in Shandong province made waves for its famed barbecue, the local authorities freed up parking lots, established dedicated public transport lines and barbecue trains, and recruited volunteers to help.
In the face of enthusiastic visitors from all directions, the tourism industry should create favorable conditions to provide tourists with a safe and comfortable experience.
As tourism becomes more affordable for an increasing number of people, it presents an opportunity to diversify and enrich the tourism industry. By creating new and unique cultural attractions, offering novel tourism products, and developing innovative experiences, local destinations can capture the interest of a broader range of travelers.
Encouraging creativity in the tourism sector will not only attract domestic visitors, but also enhance its appeal on a global stage.
Moreover, focusing on providing high-quality services, improved infrastructure, and ensuring sustainable and responsible tourism practices will contribute to the overall development of the tourism industry.
