The Fire Services Bureau (CB) announced that a workplace accident happened in Block 3 of Nam Fong Industrial Building on Avenida do Dr Francisco Vieira Machado yesterday, in which a 22-year-old female non-resident Vietnamese worker’s left index finger was cut off to the first joint when cleaning a cake-making machine.
According to two separate CB statements, the victim remained conscious when she was rushed to the private Kiang Wu Hospital for emergency treatment.
The statements noted that the Labour Affairs Bureau (DSAL) has been notified of the incident.
The statements did not mention whether the victim’s finger was reattached.
