A local man has been arrested for drunk driving, Public Security Police spokesman Wong Wai Chon said during a regular press conference yesterday.
The 30-year-old suspect surnamed Chan works as an engineer.
According to Wong, on Sunday at 3 a.m., police officers intercepted a rider who had made an illegal U-turn by crossing a solid white line. Later, police found Chan to be reeking of alcohol.
A breathalyser test showed that his alcohol concentration was 1.36 grams of alcohol per litre of blood. Chan admitted to drinking alcohol earlier that day in the mainland.
Chan has been transferred to the Public Prosecutions Office (MP), facing a drunk-driving charge, Wong said.
