The Judiciary Police (PJ) arrested two men for making fake bank cards, PJ spokesman Chan Wun Man said at a special press conference on Friday.

According to Chan, the two suspects in their thirties are both from the mainland, surnamed Ren and Sun. They told the police that they are unemployed.

The case was reported on Wednesday when a bank staff member found three bank cards “swallowed” by an ATM at a casino-hotel in Cotai. The employees discovered that the three bank cards were fakes, colloquially known as “white cards”. After the police studied CCTV footage they identified the two suspects who were staying in a hotel in Cotai.

This handout photo released by the Judiciary Police (PJ) on Friday shows evidence seized from the two suspects – two laptops, a card reader, a number of fake bank cards, and cash.
