Melco Resorts & Entertainment said in a recent statement that it won the 2023 Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Gold Award’s Marketing Hospitality category for its Melco Style x B.Duck @ Studio City campaign, which ran in three phases between August 2022 and April 2023, and featured seasonal tie-ins with the 2022 FIFA World Cup and the Chinese New Year (CNY).
The statement noted that the award, which has been supported by the Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO) since 1995, recognises exceptional achievement in a variety of endeavours, acknowledging and rewarding the very best that the Asia Pacific’s travel industry has to offer.
The company was chosen from among 108 entries received from travel and tourism organisations by PATA’s independent judging panel, according to the statement.
Melco’s Macau Resorts Chief Operating Officer David Sisk was quoted in the statement as saying: “In support of the government’s calls for diversification, our Studio City campaign was strategically designed and implemented to highlight and heighten the breadth of offerings available across our integrated resort, including its hotel accommodations, attractions, entertainment and food & beverage, and to attract visitors from Macau and beyond”.
