The Macao Polytechnic University (MPU) said in a statement yesterday that the topping-out of its ongoing construction of a new tower to be used for a library and office spaces on its campus in Zape has been completed.

Yesterday’s statement said that the tower’s topping-out was completed last month, adding that a ceremony marking the topping-out was held on the project’s construction site last Thursday.

The statement said that the constructors have now started the building’s internal decoration and external-wall cladding, as well as the installation of electromechanical systems.

The statement said that the project was now expected to be completed in the second half of next year.

According to the statement, the new building will have various facilities such as a scientific research centre, laboratories, a library, a concert hall, an auditorium, as well as teaching and office facilities.
