A 41-year-old man was found dead yesterday morning at his home in a residential building on Avenida de Lok Koi in Coloane, according to a Judiciary Police (PJ) statement.
PJ spokesman Lou Chan Fai said in the statement that the police were notified by the Fire Services Bureau (CB) of the death at 1:20 p.m. yesterday. Lou said that the case has preliminarily been classified as a dead body found.
The statement quoted the security guard of the building as saying that as he had not seen the victim leaving the building in recent days, he decided to report the situation to the police.
Firefighters found the victim lying on his sofa, and later confirmed that he had died, the statement noted.
The statement noted that the victim had no injuries that could have been caused by foul play, but the cause of the victim’s death was pending the outcome of a forensic examination.
