The “Macao Craft Market @ Foshan Lingnan Tiandi” was held from Friday until yesterday at Foshan Lingnan Tiandi and featured 50 local and mainland cultural and creative brands.

The bureau, according to an IC statement on Friday, arranged for the participation of nearly 40 cultural and creative brands from Macau for the three-day event, during which they displayed and sold products such as clothing and accessories, and illustrations.

The statement noted that eight groups of singers and bands from Macau were also invited to perform at the event.

The statement added that the Tap Siac Craft Market* is a cultural and creative project developed under the “Culture and Tourism Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area [GBA]”.

The bureau arranged for the participation of Macau’s cultural and creative brands in the GBA market, the statement said. Following the participation of the industry in the market in the Guangdong-Macau In-depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin and Guangzhou, the bureau invited members of Macau’s local and creative industries to take part in the market in Foshan through an open call. The event aimed at “enhancing the popularity of Macau’s cultural and creative brands and expanding sales channels in the Greater Bay Area [GBA]”.

*“Tap Siac” is the bureau’s alternative spelling for Tap Seac.
