Australian luxury cosmetics brand Aēsop has opened a new shop in Macau, which is located on Level 1 in Shoppes at Four Seasons at Cotai.

Aēsop, a cruelty free and vegan brand, was established in Melbourne in 1987 and offers products for the skin, hair and body.

In designing the new shop, which is called “ Aēsop Macau DFS Four Seasons”, a recent statement from the brand said that Aēsop’s in-house design team was “inspired by the coexistence of Eastern and Western cultural sentiments that define Macau’s historic centre”.

During a tour of the new shop, themed “A Place of Encounter”, Edith Tsang, marketing manager of Aēsop Hong Kong and Macau, said that all of its shops in different parts of the world are unique in design from each other and pay tribute to the community’s different aspects such as its history and craftsmanship. “Anything that our customers might resonate [with]”, Tsang said, noting that local customers might find a sense of familiarity when walking into the shop.

The heart of the shop is a “monumental stone basin”, where customers can explore a raft of Aēsop’s formulations for the skin, body, hair and home. Tsang pointed out that a sink is a “very important element” in every Aēsop shop because it offers very private and personal moments that enables one to reset oneself from a busy and hectic lifestyle.

The shop is open from Monday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., and from 10 a.m. to 12 a.m. from Friday to Sunday.
