According to a Macau Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG) statement yesterday, there will be strong winds and frequent showers from today to Thursday, under the impact of a gradually strengthening northeast monsoon and low pressure area.

The statement noted that a broad trough of low pressure currently located in the central part of the South China Sea will gradually move towards Hainan province and the Beibu Gulf in the next two to three days, but its intensity was not expected to be high. Therefore, the statement added, the local meteorologists predict “clouds with rain and strong wind” in Macau from today to Thursday, and expect the cumulative rainfall to be relatively high.

The weather station urged people to pay close attention to the latest weather announcements, and take the necessary rain gear as the weather will be rainy and windy in the coming days, and warned residents that the perceived temperature in the coming days will be lower than the actual temperature.
