The “Style • Encounter Moment” Fashion Parade of the Subsidy Programme for Fashion Design on Sample Making is slated to be held tomorrow during the Macao Fashion Festival 2023 at The Venetian Macao’s Cotai Expo Hall C, according to a statement yesterday by Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC).
The statement noted that the free-admission event, which is set to take place at 12 p.m., will present the selected works of fashion designers from the 9th Subsidy Programme for Fashion Design on Sample Making, showcasing over 50 sets of clothing to be worn by models.
The parade, the statement said, aims to increase the popularity of local fashion brands and the fashion sector by inviting local and foreign industries and “fashion buyers” to attend, thus promoting cooperation and business opportunities.
The parade has been held since 2014 to promote the development of Macau’s fashion design industry, according to the statement, providing a platform for the local fashion sector to promote local fashion designers’ latest works, as well as opportunities for fashion designers to accumulate fashion show experience.
Moreover, the statement said that the bureau also provides a platform for the fashion design sector to display and sell their products, adding that members of the public can buy some of the clothing showcased at the parade, along with clothes produced by local brands, at the Macao Fashion Gallery on Rua de São Roque. The gallery is open from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. daily except on Mondays.
