A fire broke out at an on-campus restaurant in the private Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) on Avenida Doutor Henry Fok last night, according to a statement from the Fire Services Bureau (CB).
The bureau noted that upon arriving at the scene, a stove and kitchen hood were on fire, with the firefighters immediately taking action to extinguish the flames.
Upon inspection, the statement said that the location of the fire was a stove in the restaurant kitchen, which had spread about four metres by 1.5 metres. The statement added that the kitchen hood was affected as well by the smoky blaze, while the kitchen wall was blackened.
No injuries were caused by the fire, the statement said.
