Macau Urban Renewal Limited (MUR) says that as of Monday, around 7,000 people had visited show flats of its Macau New Neighbourhood (MNN) residential project in Zhuhai’s Hengqin island since they opened to members of the public on Wednesday last week.
Free shuttle bus services between the MNN neighbourhood and the Zhuhai-side checkpoint zone of the Hengqin-Macau joint border checkpoint have also been available since Wednesday last week.
An MUR statement on Monday night underlined that the company has not yet started MNN home sales, adding that MUR is aiming to allow residents to visit the show flats so that they can familiarise themselves with the neighbourhood first before the home sales start.
The company said last month that it was aiming to start MNN home sales this month. MNN home sales were initially slated to start in September.
Monday’s statement said that MUR is now collecting opinions from those visiting the show flats with the aim of gaining a better understanding of Macau residents’ intentions to buy an MNN flat.
