Secretary for Administration and Justice Sonia Chan Hoi Fan said yesterday that the government will always listen to the opinions of the nearly four dozen government-appointed consultative bodies, adding that they are useful for the government’s decision-making process.

Chan made the remarks when answering questions from several lawmakers, on the last day of a two-day Q&A session about her portfolio’s policy guidelines for next year.

Several lawmakers asked the government whether it would review the ways the various government-appointed consultative bodies work.
