The Taipa-Guishan ferry service will be suspended tomorrow and on Sunday due to the rough sea caused by a monsoon, in order to protect the safety of passengers, the Marine and Water Bureau (DSAMA) said in a statement yesterday.
The ferry is operated by Macau-based Yuet Tung Shipping Company Limited. The route provided by high-speed passenger catamarans, usually sails every Saturday and Sunday, with two round-trip voyages each day.
The bureau reminded passengers to check Yuet Tung’s latest ferry schedule and ticketing information, and to update themselves on Macau’s ferry services through the bureau’s mobile app, as well as to make travel arrangements in advance.
Zhuhai’s Guishan Island lies some 30 kilometres east of Macau in the Pearl River Delta.
