Northern Districts Social Services Consultative Committee Member Chio Lan Ieng urged the government yesterday to tackle Ilha Verde district’s “unhygienic” environment.
Chio made the remarks before a regular meeting of the government-appointed Northern Districts Social Services Consultative Committee at the Government Service Centre in Areia Preta.
The regular meeting was closed to the media.
Chio said some residents who lived in Ilha Verde told her that rubbish was piling up near a bus stop in Rua do Parque Industrial, attracting rodents.
