Senior customs officer nabbed for credit card fraud: police

A male suspect who works for the Public Security Forces was arrested on Wednesday for his alleged involvement in bogus credit card fraud amounting to 12,000 patacas, a Judiciary Police (PJ) spokesperson said at a special press briefing yesterday.

The spokesperson said the suspect, who is 47 years old, has been working for the government since 1995. The spokesperson did not reveal the suspect’s surname or other information about him. 

According to a statement on the website of the Office of the Secretary for Security, the suspect, surnamed Chao, is a department head at the Macau Customs Service.
