The Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG) forecast yesterday that the temperature is set to dip “significantly” over the weekend, with the mercury early next week expected to drop to as low as about 10 degrees Celsius.
The observatory said that under the influence of a northeastern monsoon, northerly winds will strengthen this weekend, together with gusty winds and showers, adding that the temperature will drop to about 12 degrees Celsius on Monday and drop even further to about 10 degrees Celsius on Tuesday.
The bureau warned residents that the temperature could be even lower than expected, urging residents to wear warm clothing and pay attention to the weather forecast.
