A collective art exhibition entitled “Progressing Art of Japan” is showcasing the artwork of 14 emerging Japanese contemporary artists at the Humarish Club in the Lisboeta Macau H853 Fun Factory in Cotai, marking their debut in the city.

The free-admission exhibition, which kicked off on Saturday, is a collaboration between the Humarish Club and GALLERY KOGURE from Japan. A recent Humarish Club statement noted that GALLERY KOGURE internationally introduces artists who “possess a concept that approaches the truth and create the highest quality of art”.

The 14 artists currently showcasing their works at the exhibition are Baba Takashi; Ichimiya Tadayoshi; isayamax; Kashiwada Tadashi; Kato Daisuke; Komatsu Takahide; Lotta; Mori Taiga; NAGMO; Omori Kishi; Sakuma Asuka; Takagi Tomohiro; Wakasa Shinichi; and Zhang Yuanyuan. The works on display, which are “significant” ones created in recent years, comprise paintings, sculptures and ceramics, the statement said.

The collaborative exhibition, the statement added, aims to enable exhibition-goers in Macau to have an opportunity to “witness diverse expressions of contemporary Eastern art, immersing themselves in a vibrant and rich artistic world while exploring the charm of contemporary and traditional Japanese art”.

Progressing Art of Japan is on until February 25, with the gallery being open daily from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. More information is available on https://www.humarish.com
