The Public Security Police (PSP) has confirmed that a police station will be set up at Ip Heng Building of the sprawling Seac Pai Van public housing estate next year, Sin Chi Young, a vice-convener of the government-appointed Islands Community Services Consultative Committee, said yesterday.
Sin briefed reporters after attending the committee’s closed-door meeting which was held at a community service centre in Taipa run by the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau (IACM).
Judiciary Police (PJ) and PSP officers were invited to brief the meeting on their safety measures during the upcoming holiday season, as the city expects more visitors and is thus prone to more security problems.
