Local choir Dolce Voce showcased their 15th Anniversary Concert series “6000 Days” on January 21 at S. Domingos (St Dominic) Church and on Sunday at St Joseph the Worker Church respectively.

Dolce Voce, meaning “sweet voice” in Italian, was founded in 2008 with the aim of promoting the art of choral singing, enriching Macau’s choral music culture, and providing high-quality choral music for the local community. Since its establishment, the choir has performed over 60 times and has been invited to participate in many events, including the 24th and 30th Macau International Music Festival (MIMF), the “Interschool Singing Contest,” and the “Asia Pacific Symposium for Music Education Research.” The choir is led by Maria Vanessa Leão, an associate professor and music performance project coordinator in the Music Department of Macao Polytechnic University (MPU).

The concert series commemorated the choir’s 15th anniversary, which is equivalent to nearly 6,000 days since its establishment. Both concerts were held in local churches and had free admission, attracting a full house each time.
