Secretary for Administration and Justice Sonia Chan Hoi Fan said yesterday the government would review the Legislative Assembly Election Law, with the aim of checking whether there are discrepancies between the Portuguese and Chinese versions of the law.
Chan made the remarks while speaking to reporters after attending a plenary session of the legislature.
Activists of the New Macau Association (NMA) told reporters on Sunday that, according to the Legislative Election Law, each voter can sign only one nomination form. However, the group pointed out that the penalty for the violation is not laid out in the Chinese version of the law.
