Flora Garden in Avenida de Sidónio Pais is now open 24/7 a day, the Macau Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) announced in a statement yesterday.
The round-the-clock arrangement took effect yesterday.
Flora Garden is located at the foot of Guia Hill and is the only urban area in Macau with a zoo, according to IAM’s nature website. Its previous opening hours ran from 6 a.m. to midnight.
The opening hours were adjusted with the aim of improving the walking network in compliance with the Guia Hill Pedestrian Tunnel, the statement noted, as well as in order to enable members of the public to utilise more green and leisure spaces at any time of the day.
However, the statement pointed out that certain facilities such as the children’s playground and children’s cycling track have designated operating hours, advising members of the public to pay attention to these hours and follow the on-site staff’s instructions when using them.
