The Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) urged the public in a statement on Saturday to halt eating “Milka Oreo”, a chocolate product, as it may contain plastic contaminants.
According to the statement, coded 7622210738851, the problematic product’s package specification is 5 x 37 g bars totalling 185 g, with its best-before date of 18/08/2024 and the batch number of OSK0934651.
The statement underlined that a food alert has been issued, warning local retailers and wholesalers to stop selling and suppling the product, while telling them to contact the bureau by calling 2833 8181 if they are in possession of the product.
The bureau promised that it will continue to inspect the local market to ensure that the product is not sold here anymore.
