“I Want to be a Plastic Chair”, a local film directed by Ao Ieong Weng Fong, was screened on Saturday and Sunday at the Lisboeta integrated resort’s Emperor Cinemas in Cotai.

In a recent interview published by the Post on Wednesday, director Mike Ao Ieong Weng Fong provided insights into the movie’s content.

Sunday’s screening, in particular, saw a near-full house. Both Ao Ieong and lead actress Ieong Ieng Ieng were present, personally engaging with the audience, answering questions and participating in discussions.

During one notable interaction, Ao Ieong revealed the origin of the film’s title. He humorously mentioned that it emerged from a playful conversation with a friend, speculating on the idea of becoming a plastic chair.
