The “Macau Artists Group Exhibition | On the occasion of the celebration of the 25th Anniversary of Macau Handover to China” is being held at the A2 Gallery at Albergue SCM on Calçada da Igreja de S. Lázaro, showcasing the works of 22 artists.
Macau will celebrate the 25th anniversary of its return to the motherland on December 20.
Organised by CAC – Círculo dos Amigos da Cultura de Macau (“Circle of the Friends of Macau’s Culture”) and sponsored by the Cultural Development Fund, the exhibition was launched earlier this month. It displays the works of Cai Guo Jei, Cindy Ng Sio Ieng, Denis Murrell, Giulio Acconci, Guilherme Ung Vai Meng, Xixia Wu and Victor Hugo dos Santos Marreiros, among other artists, according to a poster promoting the exhibition.
The works being showcased feature oils, mixed media, video and artificial intelligence (AI) generated works, among others. They are on display at the free-admission exhibition until Sunday.
One can visit the gallery from 12 noon to 8 p.m. between today and this Sunday.
Albergue is Portuguese for “hospice”. SCM stands for Santa Casa da Misericórdia (“Holy House of Mercy”), Macau’s oldest charitable organisation.
